GP approved trainers Dr Mogford and Dr Stephens from Rhos House Surgery in Mountain Ash are delighted to be accepted as a GP training practice.

The Practice in the Cynon Valley, Mountain Ash will see the first GP trainer through the doors this August (2015).

With a catchment area of almost 4,000 patients there will certainly be plenty of opportunity for future GP’s to build on skills already learned.

Dr Mogford says: “We are delighted with the news of becoming a GP training practice and look forward to supporting the trainee GP’s that train at our practice.

“It is essential to support the development of future GP’s and the practice’s vision of becoming a Centre of Clinical Excellence”.

John Palmer, Interim Director for Primary Community and Mental Health Services at Cwm Taf University Health Board says: “This is excellent news for Rhos House Surgery. As a health board we are making every effort to recruit more GP’s including salaried GP’s to ensure there is additional support, and to give more GP’s the experience of working in what often is a challenging but very rewarding environment within the Cwm Taf Valleys.

Thumbs up for Rhos House Surgery to become a GP training practice
