What we do
Cwm Taf Libraries consists of two libraries, one situated in Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil and another at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant.
As well as providing access to a range of books, journals and e-resources we also provide the following:
- Study Areas
- PC Access
- Laptop Loans (use in Library)
- Printers (charges may apply)
- An inter – library supply service (for books/ journals not available within Cwm Taf Libraries)
- Literature Searches
Training is provided on:
- How to use the Library
- How to find journal articles via medical databases
- Critical Appraisal: An Introduction
Who is it for?
Cwm Taf Libraries can be used by all Cwm Taf University Health Board employees and students on placement within the Health Board.
Can anyone use this service?
Our services cannot be accessed directly by patients
PCH Mon-Wed 9am-8pm, Thurs-Fri 9am – 5pm.
RGH Mon-Thurs 8am-6pm, Fri 8am – 5pm.
24 hour access to the Library computer rooms is available. Please ask Library staff how to register for access.
What to expect
Once registered up to 10 books can be borrowed. Loans are normally either for 4 or 2 weeks. Once loaned books can be renewed up to 3 times. Books can be renewed either online, by phone/ e-mail or in person.
