Do you want to see unkempt areas in our hospitals transformed into beautiful, tranquil gardens?  If so, Keep Wales Tidy needs your support in this year’s People’s Projects vote.

Since 2005, the partnership between The National Lottery Community Fund, The National Lottery and ITV has given the public a say in how funding should be put to good use in their local area.

The Healthy Hospital Gardens project is one of 95 community-based schemes that have been shortlisted for The People’s Project vote across the UK.

In each region, the three that gain the most public votes will each receive a grant of up to £50,000.

If successful, Keep Wales Tidy will be working with local volunteers to transform unloved areas of three hospitals into beautiful, tranquil gardens at Gorseinon, Morriston and Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda which will act as havens for patients, enabling them to get away from the hustle and bustle of the wards and take in some fresh air – benefitting their mental and physical health.

Keep Wales Tidy needs your votes to help make this happen.

Voting in the People’s Projects competition is easy and only takes a minute.

  1. Go to www.thepeoplesprojects.org.uk/projects/region/wales
  2. Select Healthy Hospital Gardens project and it’ll be added to your basket (a bit like online shopping)
  3. Submit your vote, providing your name, email address or mobile phone number and postcode
  4. Follow the instructions to verify your vote. All votes must be verified otherwise they won’t count.
